164B Dubai Duty Free Jumeirah Alleged Stakes

The Stewards interviewed W.M. Lordan, rider of Buckhurst, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that W.M. Lordan was in breach of R10(3)(e) by hitting his horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards reminded W.M. Lordan to be more careful with his future use of the whip.

The Stewards informed G.M.Lyons, trainer that Whoareyouanyway, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Earls trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.

164D Dubai Duty Free Finest Celebration Stks

S. Foley, rider of Ancient Spirit (GER) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung all the way up the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Broad Street (GB), trained by Luke Comer, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

164E Dubai Duty Free Millionaire H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Flash Gordon trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount dived to the left on leaving the starting stalls.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Ice Cold In Alex trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered after jumping out of the starting stalls.

164G Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby

W.M. Lordan, rider of Arthur's Kingdom trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped when jumping out of the starting stalls.

S. Foley, rider of Gold Maze (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen early on.

M.C. Hussey, rider of Iberia trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left during this race.

The Stewards interviewed E.J. McNamara, rider of Tiger Moth, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that E.J. McNamara was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force and R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous good record into consideration, the Stewards suspended E.J. McNamara for 2 racedays.
