The Stewards requested a report from Ms. Michelle Duggan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Fresh Appeal, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Padraig Cronin, authorised representative for Ms. Michele Duggan stated that the drop in trip today, coupled with the fact that her charge is a big raw horse that had come on a lot for its last run had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

Mr J.W. Hannon, rider of Not So Simple trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung very badly coming down the hill.

Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

Owing to the trajectory of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for the two fences in the home straight to be omitted from race 7.
