The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Lord Rapscallion, ridden by Nikita Amelia Kane, placed first and Mary Salome, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed fourth, where it appeared Mary Salome ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Nikita Amelia Kane in breach of Rule 214, in that she had ridden carelessly and having considered Nikita Amelia Kane's record in this regard the Stewards suspended her for two racedays.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Beckwith Place trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he dropped one rein.

The Stewards requested a report from C. Byrnes, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Run For Mary, placed first, as compared with its recent form. C. Byrnes stated that his charge had pulled very hard and not got home on its previous run, having been off for a long time. Furthermore, he stated that his charge settled much better today, had the benefit of a recent run and was ridden by a seven pound claimer, all of which had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form when compared to its previous run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
