James Gorman / Breach Of Curragh Training Grounds Regulations

The Referrals Committee, Dr. Gordon A. Holmes (in the Chair), Mr. P.J.A. O’Connor and Mrs. J.O. Onions met at the Stewards Room, Curragh Racecourse on 23rd October 2007 to consider the referral of James Gorman, Trainer, by Denis Egan, Keeper of the Matchbook, in respect of three horses under his care which were found to be using the Curragh Training Grounds on 29th August without being returned in training.


Evidence was heard from James Gorman, Pat Kelly, Manager Curragh Training Grounds, and Paul Hensey, General Manager, Curragh Racecourse and Training Grounds.


Having considered the evidence the Committee found that Mr. Gorman was in breach of Rule and Order 24 and fined him €200 in respect of each omission (€600 in total) and ordered him to pay costs of €200.
