E.F. Power Appeal – Limerick, 4th May 2009

 

The Appeals Body, Mr. J.R. Craigie (in the Chair), Mrs. J.O. Onions and Ms. Meta Osborne met in the Turf Club, The Curragh, Co. Kildare on, 29th May 2009 to consider an appeal from E.F. Power, rider, against the decision of the Acting Stewards at Limerick on 4th May 2009 when, following the running of the June 13 and 19 Twilight Racing Maiden Hurdle, he was found to be in breach of Rule 215 and fined €200.

Evidence was heard from E.F. Power and a video of the race was also reviewed.

Having considered the evidence, the Appeals Body dismissed E.F. Power’s Appeal, imposed costs of €100 and ordered that the Appeal deposit be forfeited.

The case was presented to the Appeals Body by Mr. Denis Egan, Chief Executive, Irish Turf Club.
