220G Tramore Amusement Park mares I.N.H. Flat Race & Mr. Ronald Curran, trainer of Goulane Vixen, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Friday 24th August that his charge was found to be in season post race.

Tramore Meeting, 20th August 2012

The Stewards fined the following trainer €200 in respect of his non-runner: Mr. John C. McConnell for Passion Planet (declared in error).

217B BBQ Evening At Tramore Races Maiden & S.M. Gorey, rider of The Bay Butcher, trained by Mr. J.F. O’Shea, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount choked in running.

217C Like Tramore Racecourse On Facebook Handicap & The following trainer was fined €130 for failing to produce the passport in respect of the winner in accordance with the provisions of rule 90 (vi):- Mr. T. Hogan for Quench The Flame (GB).

 J.A. Heffernan, rider of Ballochroy, trained by Mr. S. Curling, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never traveled.

217D August Festival Centenary Handicap & D.M. Grant, rider of Windsor Pride, trained by Mr. W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount changed legs on several occasions and could not handle today’s ground.

217E W & T Supporters Club Handicap Steeplechase & D.E. Mullins, rider of Marley Park, trained by Ms Margaret Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount burst a blood vessel and was therefore pulled up.

Roscommon Meeting, 20th August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: The following riders replaced I.J. Brennan (injured):- G.J. Phillips rode Catwilldo, trained by Mr. Garvan Donnelly (first race) and R.P. Cleary rode Irish Reel, trained by Mr. H. Rogers (third race); Andrew J. McNamara replaced T.J. Doyle (injured) on City Line, trained by Mr. Liam Cleary (sixth race).

The Stewards fined the following trainer €200 in respect of his non-runner: Mrs. Y. Dunleavy for Danehill Tapdancer (lame – late withdrawal).

222A Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that King Of The Romans, trained by Mr. A.P. O’Brien, was found to be lame post race.

222B I.F.A. Race Day Handicap & The Stewards interviewed F.M. Berry, rider of Ursula, placed fifth, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that F.M. Berry was in breach of Regulation 10(3)(g) in that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder height and they therefore cautioned him accordingly.   

Mr. M.D. O’Callaghan, trainer of Khaos, reported to a Turf Club Official that his charge was found to be in season post race.

222C Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap & S. Foley, rider of Zariyna, trained by Mr. M. Halford, reported to a Turf Club Official that his mount ran very free. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Zariyna was found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. The trainer subsequently reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Tuesday 21st August that his charge was found to be in season post race.

222D Gerry Igoe Land Drainage Flat V National Hunt Riders Challenge Handicap & The Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Pride Of The Lions (NZ), ridden by N.P. Madden, Champion Boy, ridden by J.P. O’Brien, and Saratoga Baby, ridden by D.J. Condon, all unplaced, after it appeared that Champion Boy received a check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.J. Condon had ridden carelessly and, having taken his good previous record in this regard into account, they therefore severely cautioned him. 

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Champion Boy, trained by Mr. Noel Meade, was found to be post race normal.

222G Follow Roscommon On Facebook Maiden Hurdle & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Summer Star, trained by Mr. T.M. Walsh, was found to be blowing hard post race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Cloudgazer, trained by Mr. Noel Meade, was found to be post race normal.

R. Loughran, rider of Bendigo Creek (USA), trained by Mr. Gerard Farrell, reported to a Turf Club Official that his mount burst a blood vessel and was therefore pulled up.

Gowran Park Meeting, 21st August 2012

215A Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden & The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving Janna’s Jingle, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed third, Twilight Zone, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed fourth, and Time To Begin, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, after it appeared that Twilight Zone ran short of room and had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards gave R.P. Whelan the benefit of doubt in this insistence and took no further action.  

C.D. Hayes, rider of Time To Begin, trained by Mr. P.D. Deegan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled on leaving the stalls.

215C McEnery Cup Handicap & N.G. McCullagh, rider of Shelford, trained by Mr. John M. Oxx, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not act on today’s ground.

215D Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Hurry Harriet Stakes & The Stewards enquired into an incident in the hone straight involving Soon, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, Chrysanthemum, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fifth, Shebella, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, and Aaraas, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, both unplaced, after it appeared that the latter ran short of room and had to check.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.  

215E Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Handicap & The Stewards requested a report from Mr. Shane Lyons, representing Mr. G.M. Lyons, trainer of the winner Fluidity (GB), regarding the apparent improvement in form of their charge, compared with the horse’s previous run at the Curragh on 29th June where he finished eighth of nine finishers and was beaten 14 lengths.
Mr. Lyons reported that Fluidity (GB) ran very flat at the Curragh on very testing ground and following a break the horse returned today to run on more favourable ground conditions. He said that this, in his opinion, brought about today’s improved performance.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Vedani, trained by Mr. John M. Oxx, was found to be post race normal.

215G Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden & The Stewards informed Mr. Aidan Anthony Howard, trainer of Eljowzah, that his charge would have to be re-certified before being declared to run from stalls again.   

C. O’Donoghue, rider of Mary Gone, trained by Mr. Patrick Philip Owens, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action in this race.

Sligo Meeting, 21st August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: The following riders replaced Andrew Thornton (unwell):- D.A. McCormack rode Cute Ivorela, trained by Mr. James J. Hartnett (second race) and D.G. Hogan rode Sparky McGovern, trained by Mr. Norman Doolin (sixth race).

223B Follow Sligo Races On Facebook Handicap & The Stewards requested a report from Mr. Patrick J. Flynn, trainer of the winner Measured Approval, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared to the horse’s previous two runs.
Mr. Flynn reported that his charge disappointed on his penultimate run at Navan over five furlongs. He said the horse was subsequently given a break and freshened up before running well in a good contest in Tipperary. The trainer added that the horse had been working well at home prior to today’s run and has obviously improved from his previous race. He concluded that today’s race was a poor contest and that his stable appears to be in good form.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted its content.

Samantha Bell, rider of Future Earner, trained by Mr. F. Costello, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount suffered accidental interference before staying on well in the closing stages.

223E RSS Document Storage Sligo Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed Mr. R.W. Barron, rider of Loughderg Princess, unplaced, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. Barron was in breach of Regulation 10 in that he continued to use his whip when his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. The Stewards therefore severely cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. 

The Stewards fined Mr. Paul John Gilligan, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of King Eloi (GB) in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer’s written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

223F Follow Us On Twitter Handicap Hurdle & R.C. Colgan, rider of Quigleys Express, trained by Mr. Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran out and was therefore pulled up.

223G Student Day At Sligo Races 3rd October Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed P.D Kennedy, rider of Killdunne, placed second, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that P.D. Kennedy was in breach of Regulation 10 in that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder level. The Stewards therefore severely cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

Bellewstown Meeting, 22nd August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: C.D. Hayes replaced F. Lynch (unwell) on Silver Indian (GB), trained by Mr. P.D. Deegan (third race); A.P. Thornton rode Fit the Cove (reserve), trained by Mr. H. Rogers (third race) and Mr. N.M. Kelly replaced Mr. P.A. King (unwell) on Keep Movin, trained by Mr. David Harry Kelly (eighth race).

224A Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Auction Maiden & W.J. Lee, rider of Toberton, trained by Mr. T.M. Walsh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount missed the break, ran free and tired on the ground close home.

224B Niall Collier Memorial Claiming Maiden & The Stewards interviewed M.A. Cleere, rider of Pearl Of Romance, unplaced, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.A. Cleere was in breach of Regulation 10 in that he had used his whip both down the shoulder in the forehand position and with the arm above shoulder height. The Stewards therefore severely cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.

224D Glebe House Stud Nursery Handicap & The Stewards interviewed Mr. Damian Joseph English, trainer of the winner All Ablaze, regarding the apparent improvement in form his charge compared to the horse’s previous run at Naas.
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that the horse disappointed at Naas when he was fancied to run well. He added that the horse was subsequently treated for a respiratory tract infection and was allowed time off to freshen up.
Evidence was also heard from the Senior Turf Club Rules Of Racing Handicapper, who stated that All Ablaze was dropped in the weights following his Naas run.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. English was in breach of Rule 213 in that he had failed to report something that may have affected the horses last run and they therefore referred the matter to the Referrals Committee for further investigation.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of the winner All Ablaze, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Cleary was in breach of Regulation 10 in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and without giving his mount time to respond. Having  taken his recent record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for two race days (5th and 6th September).  

224E(i) Lougher Stables Handicap (Division One) & The Stewards informed Mr. Mark Michael McNiff, trainer of Cri Na Mara, that his charge would have to be re-certified before being declared to run from stalls again.

Mr. Liam McAteer, trainer of Strategic Heights, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge did not handle today’s ground.

224E(ii) Lougher Stables Handicap (Division Two) & The Stewards received a report from Mr. W. Fleming, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, in accordance with Rule 231, which stated that R.A. Doyle, rider of Khelino, had weighed in three pounds overweight. 
Evidence was heard from Mr. Fleming and from the rider concerned in the presence of Mr. Roger Sweeney, trainer of Khelino.
In his evidence R.A. Doyle stated that he changed some of his equipment after weighing out and that this contributed to the overweight.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.A. Doyle was in breach of Rule 198 in that he had changed his equipment and failed to reweigh as required. Having taken his good record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for three race days (5th, 6th, and 10th September) and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee.

F.M. Berry, rider of Little Bing Bang, trained by Mr. S.T. Nolan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action in the early stages of this race.

Bellewstown Meeting, 23rd August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: A.P. Crowe rode Gale Force Lucey (reserve), trained by Mr. C. Roche (third race); R.C. Colgan rode Lightening Sky (reserve), trained by Mr. Joseph Fox (third race) and Miss L. O’Neill rode Raven’s Feather (reserve), trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle (seventh race).

225B Angloprinters.ie Hurdle & B.J. Cooper, rider of Total Excitement, trained by Mr. Thomas Cooper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was found to have a burst blood vessel post race.

225D Castleview Homes / Lakeside Landscaping Mullacurry Cup Handicap Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed D.J. Condon, rider of Cnoc Na Sioga, placed second, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that D.J. Condon was in breach of Regulation 10 4. in that he had used his whip without giving his mount time to respond.
Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for two race days (6th and 7th September).

D. Crosse, rider of Miss Benedictine (GB), trained by Mr. Brendan W. Duke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Mister Benedictine (GB), was found to be sore post race having sustained a cut on the top front area of the right fore cannon.

225E www.thetote.com Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed B.J. Geraghty, rider of the winner Uponthe Hoof, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that B.J. Geraghty was in breach of Regulation 10 4. in that he had used his whip without giving his mount time to respond.
Having taken his record into account, the Stewards cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving the winner Uponthe Hoof, ridden by B.J. Geraghty, and Roadtoabbeyfeale, ridden by E.J. O’Connell, placed second.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.  

225F Indaver Handicap Hurdle & A.P. Heskin, rider of Duroob (GB), trained by Mr. Patrick O. Brady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout this race.

225G Monica Tolan Irish Anti-Aging Salon 2012 Ladies I.N.H. Flat Race & The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Moyne Nineoseven, ridden by Miss D. Quinlan, and trained by Mr. P.M. Quinlan.
Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned.
In her evidence Miss Quinlan stated that her instructions were to jump off mid division and do her best. She said that the horse felt dead in the early part of the race and changed his legs a couple of times. As he was so far back early on she felt there was no point giving the horse a hard race because she did not expect to get involved in the latter stages. In addition she said the horse gave a heave and was only passing tired horses in the straight.
In his evidence Mr. Quinlan confirmed the instructions. He said he felt that the horse would be better on good ground but still expected him to run well today.  He was disappointed with the ride that the horse received as he was so far back early on and also felt that he may have won with a more positive ride.  However, he added that the horse has some veterinary problems.
The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer stating that Moyne Nineoseven was found to have a sore shin post race.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards, having taken into account the veterinary evidence, decided to take no further action except to advise Miss Quinlan of her obligations under Rule 212 in future.

Tipperary Meeting, 23rd August 2012

226C Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Premier Nursery Handicap & G.F. Carroll, rider of Blue Bullet, trained by Mr. W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Blue Bullet was found to be post race normal.

226E Costello Tavern Handicap & S. Foley, rider of Slipper Orchid, trained by Mr. M. Halford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran flat in the latter stages. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Slipper Orchid was found to be post race normal. The trainer subsequently reported to the Stewards' Secretaries on 24th August that his charge was found to be in season post race.

226G Mocklershill Stables Race & The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after leaving the starting stalls involving the winner Parkers Mill, ridden by W.M. Lordan, and Hittin’the Skids, ridden by Adrian O’Shea, placed fifth, after it appeared that  Parkers Mill checked a few strides before the road crossing.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned Adrian O’Shea to ride with more care in the future.

Kilbeggan Meeting, 24th August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: The following riders replaced D.E. Splaine (Stewards permission):- K.M. Donoghue rode Night Singer (GB), trained by Mr. Adrian McGuinness (first race) and Norwich Flyer, trained by Mr. Adrian McGuinness (fourth race) and M.J. Bolger rode Farley’s Risk, trained by Mr. Michael McElhone (second race); B.F. Cawley rode The Colleen Ban (reserve), trained by Mrs Maureen Danagher (fourth race) and B.T. O’Connell rode The Three Colleens (reserve), trained by Mrs Hannah Lee (fifth race).

227B Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed B.R. Dalton, rider of the winner Bunnenaugh, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that B.R. Dalton was in breach of Regulation 10 3. (e) in that he had hit his horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters and (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and (g) in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height.
Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for seven race days (7th, 11th, 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th September).  

227C Pat Doyle Memorial Handicap Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed Mr. P.L. Malone, Turf Club Starter, with regard to the false start in this race.
Evidence was heard from Mr. Malone, who stated that as he called the riders forward some horses became fractious at the back and some of the riders were shouting. He said that he therefore called a false start.
Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed Mr. Joseph Fox, trainer of Tom’s Last Euro,  after the horse appeared in the parade ring wearing cheek pieces which had not been declared for this race.
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that he was surprised to find that he had not declared cheek pieces as it was his belief that he had declared both a tongue tie and cheek pieces when making the declaration online.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards reminded Mr. Fox that under Rule 148 (i) he is responsible for everything connected with the training and running of the horse.
The Stewards therefore cautioned him for the future regarding these responsibilities.

B.R. Dalton, rider of Khan Tengri, trained by Mr. Patrick O. Brady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle today’s ground and made a noise in running.

227D Kinnegad Handicap Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed M.W. Bowes, rider of the winner Katys Girl, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.W. Bowes was in breach of Regulation 10 3.(c)  in that he had hit his mount unnecessarily when the horse clearly had the race won.
Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for three race days (7th, 11th and 12th September).     

P. Townend, rider of Fairly Definite, trained by Mr. Paul W. Flynn, reported to a Turf Club Official that his mount made a noise in running and was therefore pulled up.

227E Follow Kilbeggan On Facebook Beginners Steeplechase & Andrew J. McNamara, rider of The Lady Granuaile (USA), trained by Mrs Pauline Gavin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hit the second fence after the stands on the final circuit very hard, that she never travelled thereafter and was pulled up. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that The Lady Granuaile (USA) was found to be lame post race.

A representative for Mr. D.J. Barry, trainer of Walkonabubble, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that the horse scoped abnormal post race.

Mrs Hannah Lee, trainer of The Three Colleens, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Monday 27th August that her charge had sore shins and was found to be in season post race.

227G Tom Birmingham Menswear I.N.H. Flat Race & The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving the winner Moorhill Lad, ridden by Mr. N. McParlan, and The Buddy Pass, ridden by Mr. R.P. McNamara, placed second.  Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings.  The Stewards were, however, of the opinion that Mr. McParlan was in  breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly.
 Having taken his good record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore severely cautioned him for the future.

The Stewards fined Mr. Norman Doolin, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of King Boyne Senior in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer’s written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Wexford Meeting, 24th August 2012

228C Pinnacle Handicap & Following the running of this race, the Stewards granted permission for the use of tape starts in the remaining races on today’s programme due to the inclement weather conditions.

228D Wexford Apprentice Handicap & Samantha Bell, rider of Rayon Rouge, trained by Mr. Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount lost her action momentarily in the straight.

M.M. Monaghan, rider of Ceolteori, trained by Mr. John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels in this race.

228E Rosslare Handicap & The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving the winner Hartside (GER), ridden by B.A. Curtis, and Mulleady, ridden by F.M. Berry, placed second.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. The Stewards were, however, of the opinion that B.A. Curtis had ridden carelessly (Rule 214).
Having taken his previous record into account, the Stewards therefore severely cautioned him in this regard for the future.

Curragh Meeting, 25th August 2012

229B Manguard Plus Curragh Stakes & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Gale Force Ten (GB), trained by Mr. A.P. O’Brien, was found to be lame post race.

229F Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Irish Cambridgeshire & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Vastonea, trained by Mr. Kevin Prendergast, was found to be post race normal.

F. Lynch, rider of Ballivor, trained by Mr. W.T. Farrell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that, in his opinion, his mount may have burst a blood vessel. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Ballivor was found to be post race normal.

Curragh Meeting, 26th August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting: J.P. O’Brien replaced J.A. Heffernan (Stewards permission) on Flying the Flag, trained by Mr. A.P. O’Brien (fourth race) and Miss A. Foley replaced Ms. B. Weber (injured) on Silas Mariner (seventh race).

230A Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Quadriga, trained by Mr. A.P. O’Brien, was found to be post race normal.

 B.A. Curtis, rider of Horseware Express, trained by Mr. J. Larkin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his reins broke in the closing stages of this race.

2230B Tipperary Crystal China International Handicap & The Stewards interviewed James J. Doyle, rider of Mountain Mama, unplaced, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and also from Mr. W. McCreery, representing Mr. C.F. Swan, Master of James J Doyle.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that James J. Doyle was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (b) in that he continued to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone.
The Stewards therefore severely cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards interviewed Josh J. Doyle, rider of Geraldines Lass, unplaced, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and also from his Master Mr. W. McCreery, trainer of Geraldines Lass.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that Josh J. Doyle was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (b) in that he continued to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone.
The Stewards therefore severely cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.

C. O’Donoghue, rider of Rominintheglomin, trained by Mr. John Patrick Shanahan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that the horse’s action behind felt wrong in running.

230C www.bettor.com Flying Five Stakes & The Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of the winner My Girl Anna, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Cleary was in breach of Regulation 10 4  in that he had used his whip without giving his mount time to respond.
Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for two race days (10th and 13th September).    

M. Dwyer, rider of Stepper Point (GB), trained by Mr. William Muir (in GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle today’s heavy ground.

230E Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes & The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Manieree, trained by Mr. John M. Oxx, was found to be post race normal.

230H Free Admission At The Curragh September 9th Handicap & W.M. Lordan, rider of Big Bad Lily, trained by Mr. Augustine Leahy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran flat in this race.

Cork Meeting, 26th August 2012

The Stewards authorised the following substitution of rider at this meeting: Andrew J. McNamara rode Bridgequarter Girl (reserve), trained by Mr. John E. Kiely (first race).

231A Family Day Out Maiden Hurdle & I.J. Power, rider of Paddy’s Pride, trained by Mr. John O’Shaughnessy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was difficult at the start, was very difficult to ride, and jumped very deliberately.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Local Knowledge, trained by Mr. J.A. Berry, was found to have a burst blood vessel post race.

231B corkracecourse.ie Hurdle & M.P. Butler, rider of White Feathers, trained by Mr. Eoin Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was found to be lame on pulling up after this race.

231C Munster Handicap Hurdle & The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving the winner Mountain Lough, ridden by Andrew. J. McNamara, Luimneach Abu, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed second, and Clara More, ridden by A.P. Heskin, placed third, after it appeared that the latter ran short of room.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

D.G. Hogan, rider of Go Paddy Go, trained by Mr. James Grace, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake at the final hurdle and stumbled two strides afterwards.

231D J.P. McManus Hurdle & The Stewards enquired into possible interference (Rule 214) inside the last 50 yards involving Ballyadam Brook, ridden by D.J Condon, placed fifth, and Jack Cool, ridden by R.J. Jones, unplaced, after it appeared that the latter ran short of room.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. The Stewards did, however, advise D.J. Condon to ride with more care in the future.  

231E Follow Cork Racecourse On Facebook Maiden Hurdle & The Stewards interviewed Mr. Michael Joseph Fitzgerald, trainer of Wells China, concerning the conduct of this horse which refused to start.
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards suspended Wells China from running for 60 day’s under the provisions of Rule 14(iii).

231G Follow Us On Twitter I.N.H. Flat Race & The Stewards fined Mr. B.J. Hallahan, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Lord Stani (GB) in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer’s written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
