Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for four race days (3rd, 6th, 7th and 10th June). The Stewards also reminded Mr Dunne that he must familiarise himself with the content of R10 which pertains to the whip.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
D.R. Fox admitted in his evidence that his mount was travelling very well but was in a pocket and that he purposely caused interference to Twigline (FR) by forcing his way between that horse and On His Own.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the interference was caused by D.R. Fox riding dangerously and they therefore suspended him for ten race day (6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, and 25th June).
In accordance with the provisions of Rule 214 (i) (a), the Stewards also disqualified Seskinane and amended the result to read as follows:- First: On His Own, Second: Twigline (FR), Third: Time To Work, Fourth: Dooney Rock.

117F Ladies Day 8th August At Sligo Handicap Hurdle &The Stewards requested a report from Aidan McGuinness, trainer of the winner I Never Knew That, regarding the apparent improvement in form of his charge compared with the horse’s recent form.
Mr McGuinness reported that his charge had been off the track with a back problem since June 2012. The horse returned to racing at Tramore on 13th April 2013 and was ridden handy that day, but those tactics did not suit the animal while he may not have handled the track. Different tactics were employed today when the animal was dropped in off the pace and, with the benefit of that previous run, he showed normal improvement.

Having considered the report, the Stewards noted it’s content.

He said that he had ridden earlier in the day at 8 stone 11lbs and the only thing he could think of was that he had weighed out early and that perhaps the sweat in the saddle cloth accounted for the overweight.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to remind C. O’Donoghue of his responsibilities in this regard for the future.
