Having taken his recent record in this regard into account, the Stewards therefore suspended him for two race days (20th and 27th January).

Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the substitution. The Stewards were, however, of the opinion that D.J. He added that his charge ran well when finishing third at cork on a flat track, over two miles and four furlongs at Cork, which is a flat track, but more recently he disappointed at Navan. He said that day his charge was in contention before the turn in until weakening in the closing stages and was well beaten. He added that the animal did not show any abnormalities after that race. He said that, in his opinion having evaluated the form of his horse, he believes that his best trip is at distances between two and two and a quarter miles, and concluded by stating that his charge did not stay the trip at Navan..

006G Go Racing In Kildare (Pro/Am) I.N.H. Flat Race & The Stewards enquired from Mr. D.K. Weld regarding the reason for and the timing of the withdrawal of his charge Silver Concorde (GB) from this race.
Evidence was heard from Mr. Weld who stated that this was in his opinion a very good class horse who was making his racecourse debut today and who was also subject to heavy support in the betting market. He said that earlier in the week he had walked the track and was satisfied to declare the horse last Friday on ground described as soft to heavy. He added that during last night there was a period of heavy rain, but he formed the opinion that he would run the horse if the ground had remained as described at declaration time. However, after his horse ran  in the first race today and having had a discussion with rider Paul Townend, he felt that the ground had become testing in certain areas especially in the latter stages of the straight and this could have resulted in a defeat or his charge being subjected to a very hard race. He withdrew the gelding at 1.07 p.m.
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted Mr. Weld’s reason for the withdrawal of his charge, but they were of the opinion that he should have complied with Rule 194 and withdrawn his charge by 11.40 a.m. Consequently, the Stewards fined Mr. Weld €200.
Mr. John Weld, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.
