The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. Brassil replaced G.B. Noonan on Bite That, trained by Patrick J. Flynn (Race 3) (Unwell)
S. O'Callaghan replaced Cian Cullinan on Dylan's Day, trained by P.G. Fahey (Race 1) (Injured)

125A Wexford Racecourse (Mares) M'dn H'dle

Shane O'Callaghan, rider of Dylan's Day, trained by P.G. Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered after the third last hurdle.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the third last hurdle involving Dylan's Day, ridden by Shane O'Callaghan, placed third, and Young Darleen, ridden by B.W. Harvey, placed second, where it appeared that Dylan's Day met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Shane O'Callaghan stated that on landing over the third last hurdle he received pressure from his right and he had to check. B.W. Harvey stated that he thought he was clear of Dylan's Day when he manoeuvered left to take back his racing line after his mount had jumped right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that B.W. Harvey was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

125B Jim Ryan Services (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.F. O'Regan, rider of Presenting Doyen, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. D.F. O'Regan accepted that he was in breach of R10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.F. O'Regan was in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and considering his clean record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion.

125C Sulzer 50 Years In Business H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Brassil, rider of Bite That, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. C. Brassil accepted that he was in breach of R10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of R.10.3(h) in that he had used his whip with his above shoulder height on several occasions. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Raceday Stewards suspended C. Brassil for 6 racedays.

125D Supp. The Irish Injured Jockeys Hcap Hdl

B.W. Harvey, rider of Bella Bliss, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Bella Bliss, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

P. Byrnes, rider of Kingston Retreat (GB), trained by Sean O. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up injured.

125F Ambrex Switchgear H'cap S'chase

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Rose Of Kalanisi, trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

P.T. Enright, rider of Smitty Bacall, trained by J.P. Flavin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
