The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M Hamill replaced R. Deegan on Myrcella, trained by P.F.McEnery (Race 1)(injured)
S. A. Mulcahy replaced R. Deegan on Ballyeden Lass, trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle (Race 2)(injured)
R. J. Condon replaced R. Deegan on Casamari Abbey, trained by P.A.Fahy (Race 5)(injured)
Mr. S. Staples replaced Mr J.L. Scallan on The Forge Hill, trained by Sean Thomas Doyle (Race 7)(injured).

081A Newtown M'dn H'dle

E. Walsh, rider of Da Little Grey Lad trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped deliberately early on.

081B Ladies Day August 14th M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Mr A. Sinnott, rider of Pistol Smoke, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip when his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone, and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. A. Sinnott in breach of Regulation 10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his record, they suspended the him for 1 raceday.

At the request of the Stewards, K.M. Donoghue, rider of Bally Dun, trained by Denis Ahern, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was wearing a hood for the first time as he is keen at home. He was very keen early on and emptied..

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Mardle (GB) trained by Andrew Lee, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Runrized (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Brendan Kenny, authorised representative for the trainer, stated that the application of a tongue tie and the better ground today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation.

081D Anne Valley Walk H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mr Bercow, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Mr Bercow trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.

081E Tramore Promenade Beginners S'chase

The Stewards interviewed D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Half Shot, concerning his use of the whip in later stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he was trying to keep his horse straight and was using his whip as an aid for this. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D. J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Regulation 10.3(i)(time to respond) and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

081F West Waterford H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined School Lane, trained by Liam Lennon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.J. Orr, rider of School Lane trained by Liam Lennon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

D. Meyler, rider of Mtada Supreme trained by Peter Maher, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

081G Waterford Hunt Hunters Schase

Mr J.W. Hannon, rider of Arctic Comet trained by Ruaidhri Joseph Tierney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled badly.

Mr P. Rogan, rider of Texas Gold (GB) trained by Sean Thomas Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Colleen Murphy, regarding the failure of Mr P.C. Bannon, rider of Save Us Avis, placed, fifth to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he presented at scales but understood that he was not required thinking that only the first four were required. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards used their powers under Rule 230 to disqualify Save Us Avis from fifth place. Furthermore, the Stewards found Mr. P. C. Bannon in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record they suspended him for two race days.
