The Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Shark Bay, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed fourth and Seisai, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed first, where it appeared that contact was made when Seisai was making her challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.A. Heffernan stated that he had been under pressure throughout but he was keeping a straight course when Seisai moved marginally to the right to challenge. S.M. Crosse stated that he was travelling well at this point and needed racing room to challenge when the runners moved marginally right at the time he was making his manoeuvre. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no action other than to advise S.M. Crosse to ride with more awareness.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Glengarra, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, Shark Bay, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed fourth and Seisai, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed first, where it appeared that Glengarra may have caused an incident when drifting marginally right . Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.A. Heffernan stated that his mount was dropping back when Seisai shifted slightly right and made contact. S.M. Crosse stated that Glengarra was leaning right into the whip which caused his own mount to shift right. W.J. Lee stated that he had put away his whip and grabbed a fresh hold when his mount edged to the right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no action.

220F Tipperary H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two hundred yards from the finish involving El Padre (USA), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced and Lord Mczie, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed fifth, where it appeared that Lord Mczie continued to move inwards and El Padre (USA) checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence J.A. Heffernan stated that he thought he might get sixth place but was not going forward when he received a brush from Lord Mczie. P.A. Harnett stated that he was going easy into the straight and had nowhere to go when a gap appeared on his inner. He applied the whip but his mount went left into the path of El Padre (USA). Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that P.A. Harnett had caused the incident by riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended P.A. Harnett for one raceday.

K.J. Manning, rider of Dixie Bluebell trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dixie Bluebell, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have given a few coughs during the examination but was otherwise post race normal.
