179A Tipperary Town 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances whereby Silence Is Wisdom, ridden by J. Smith and Mystic Rose, ridden by E. Finegan, both trained by Patrick Magee entered the parade ring carrying the incorrect saddles prior to the running of the race. Both riders weighed out again and the horses were then saddled correctly, which contributed to a delay to the off time of the race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who accepted responsibility stating it was down to human error having three runners in the race and apologised for the mistake. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Patrick Magee was in breach of Rule 148(i) and having considered his clean record in this regard they fined him €500.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Highway Sixty One, trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Hawkesbury Legend (FR), trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his overgirth snapped at the start and had to be replaced prior to the race going off.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the final hurdle on approach to the winning line involving Darcy's Friend, ridden by D. Meyler, placed fifth and W B Easy, ridden by D.J Gilligan, unplaced, where it appeared W B Easy received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Meyler stated that his mount drifted left after missing the last but that he felt he was clear of W B Easy. D.J Gilligan stated that he maintained a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D. Meyler was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.

179D O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Patrick Joseph Hayes, trainer of Golden Reel, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Veterinary Officer in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

179G Tipperary INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Bradley's Row, to run in accordance with the provision of Rule 90(v) as positive identification can be made but there are discrepancies in the markings as recorded in the Passport. The Trainer shall have 30 days to update the passport to the satisfaction of an IHRB Veterinary Officer/Assistant.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr A.T. Feeney, rider of Rokanako, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr A.T. Feeney was in breach of Regulation 10.3.b (the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone) and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr A.T.
