J.J. Slevin replaced P. Townend on Starzov, trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 4)(stood down)
Sam Ewing rode Paidi's Passion (reserve) trained by D.M. Christie (Race 4)
S.W. Flanagan rode Steel Queen (reserve) trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 5)
S.F. O'Keeffe replaced P. Townend on Memorable Daise, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 6)(stood down).
M.J.M. O'Sullivan rode My Gaffer (reserve) trained by John Patrick Ryan (Race 7)

222A Curraghboy M'dn H'dle

R. Deegan, rider of Out The Gap (GB) trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise from the end of the backstraight.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Roguey trained by W.J.Lanigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Elzvale trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tired on the ground.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Wild Dollar, trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lorca (GER), trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff behind post race.

222B Railway Bar M'dn H'dle

J.C. Gainford, rider of Val The Man trained by Cian Michael Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

222C Paul Byron Shoes H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined Matthew J. Smith, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Lucailem prior to entering the ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lucailem, trained by Matthew J. Smith, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

222D J.F. Hanley Groundscare Beginners Schase

The Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. Pat Malone, that Corey McGivern, rider of Eye Of The Dragon did not obey his instructions at the start of this race. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Mr. Pat Malone stated that the horses were approaching him ahead of time and he instructed the riders to take back when Corey McGivern put his mount into a canter causing him to release the tape. Corey McGivern stated that he wanted to make the running and as such lined up handy. He further added that when the other horses came around him his mount lunged forward. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Corey McGivern was in breach of Rule 208(failed to comply with the starters instructions) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

222F Castlerea H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Miss Us O, trained by B. R. Hamilton, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed C.P. McNamara, rider of Meehall, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip outside the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.P. McNamara was in breach of R10.3(i) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

B. R. Hamilton, trainer of Miss Us O, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge didn't handle the ground.

222G Brian Keenan On-Course INH Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.D. Deegan , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr J.J. O'Neill , rider of Court Cian , weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he attributed the extra weight to the rain which made his clothes wet. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.J. O'Neill was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him on this occasion.
