The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Call Me Sweetheart (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S.M. Crosse replaced A.J. Slattery on Ola Bonita, trained by Andrew Slattery (Race 2)(Unwell)

168A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

Sam Ewing, rider of Nyla Rua trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green.

168B Property Partners Earley (Fillies) H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Zumoradda, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

168C1 Thanks To The Frontline Apprentice H'cap

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Tynamite trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

The Stewards received a report from the IHRB Clerk of the Scales, Ms. C.S. Murphy, that Sean Cleary Farrell, rider of In The Attic, had presented himself at scales to weigh out at 1.8lbs above the additional 2lbs that were declared in accordance with the provisions of Rule 195(i). Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had tried hard to lose weight but came up 1lb short despite his best efforts. Emmet Mullins, trainer of In The Attic, stated that he had given the rider short notice of the weight to be carried and was happy to allow him to carry the declared 2lbs overweight in order to feel strong. He advised the Stewards that the rider was very familiar with the gelding and he was prepared to allow additional overweight if allowed . Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed Sean Cleary Farrell to ride at 3lbs overweight as they felt that there were exceptional circumstances on this occasion. They did, however, consider that Sean Cleary Farrell was in breach of Rules 195 and 198 and having taken into consideration his previous clean record in this regard, they fined Sean Cleary Farrell €150. Furthermore, the Stewards advised him to liaise with the IHRB Senior Medical Officer Dr Jennifer Pugh in relation to his minimum weight. .

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Trade Talks (GB) trained by C. Moore was noted to have bloods at the nostrils post race.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Philly's Hope trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the starting stalls and was slowly away.

168D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

L.T. McAteer, rider of Jazz Night trained by Barry J. Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green throughout this race.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Karatayka trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and he had to use the whip for correction.

C.T. Keane, rider of La Joconde trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped on leaving the starting stalls.

168E Athlone H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final one hundred yards involving Himalayan Beauty, ridden by T.P. Madden, placed second and Ebasari, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed third, where it appeared that both horses brushed off each other. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Whelan stated that he did not feel anything that had any bearing on his final placing. T.P. Madden stated that his mount brushed against Ebasari when tiring close to the finish. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed T.P. Madden, rider of Himalayan Beauty, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, T.P. Madden accepted that he was in breach of the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that T.P. Madden was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned T.P. Madden on this occasion.

168F Lenebane Stakes

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Reve De Vol, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
