289B Leo Dolan Memorial H'cap H'dle

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Red Striker trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race.

The Stewards requested a report from Barry Connell, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Low Style (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Barry Connell, trainer stated that his charge had strengthened up over the summer and he also stated that this was a low class race which he felt helped bring about todays improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

At the request of the Stewards, J.P. Shinnick, rider of No Conscience, trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out throughout this race and he felt a longer trip may suit her better in the future.

289C Thomas A. Murray Bar (Mares) M'dn Hdle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined In A Nice Way, trained by Stephen Ryan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.J. Condon, rider of Dinero Falso (GB) trained by Peter Croke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race.

289D Class Grass H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Holmeister, trained by Michael P. Hourigan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have pulled a right fore shoe, but was otherwise post race normal.

289G Roscommon On-Course Vets INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.J. Cody, rider of Quaresome, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr P.J. Cody, rider, stated that this was his first time in a close finish and he just lost count but apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. Cody in breach of R 10.3(g)and (i) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.
