The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P. Townend replaced R. Walsh on Faugheen, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 5)(Injured)
P. Townend replaced R. Walsh on Steel Wave, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 6)(Injured)
R.M. Power replaced P. Townend on After Aspen, trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle (Race 6)(Stewards permission)

322B Irish Daily Mirror H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Alan Delaney, authorised representative for E. D. Delany, trainer of Yaha Fizz, regarding the late arrival of their charge into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer's representative who stated that this animal is very difficult to saddle and plenty of time is required to tack him up for a race, but today he misjudged the time allowed and consequently was late arriving into the parade ring. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that E.D. Delaney was in breach of Rule 32(ii) and therefore cautioned him through his representative and furthermore advised him to liaise with the Clerk of the Course when running this animal in the future.

322C Ryans Cleaning Craddockstown Novice S'ch

The Stewards interviewed R.M. Power, rider of Woodland Opera, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.M. Power was in breach of R10(3)(e) by hitting his mount in an incorrect area and therefore cautioned him having taken his good previous record into consideration.

322G Tattersalls Ireland EBF Auct. M'dn H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Ms Joan Taylor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, concerning the fact that the vaccinations contained in the Passport of Cosmo's Moon, trained by R.P. McNamara were incorrect for the second successive occasion. In accordance with Rule 90 the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cosmo's Moon and fined R.P. McNamara €500. Having considered the trainers record for vaccination irregularities for 2017, the Stewards referred this recurring problem to the CEO of the Turf Club for consideration.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Cluan Dara trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last hurdle.
