At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Needs Must, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got outpaced turning in and then stayed on one paced past tired horses.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident and the fourth last hurdle involving Are We Dancing, ridden by Caragh Monaghan, Glendower (GB), ridden by D. Meyler, and Springhill Warrior, ridden by K.C. Sexton, where it appeared Are We Dancing jumped left tightening the horses on its inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
