The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eat Pray Run, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Tornado Kiss, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green inside the final furlong and rolled left.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Practical Move, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, and Prairie Echoes, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, where it appeared L.T. McAteer had to sit momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

184B Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Just A City Boy to run in accordance with the provision of Rule 90(v) as a positive identification could be made despite the discrepancies in the markings as recorded in the Passport. The Trainer has 30 days to update the passport to the satisfaction of an IHRB Veterinary Officer/Assistant.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the furlong pole involving Sir Alfie, ridden by Nicola Burns, placed fourth, and Howd'yadoit, ridden by R. Whearty, placed second, where it appeared Howd'yadoit drifted left momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Nicola Burns stated that she felt contact from her right at the furlong pole which didn't affect her. R. Whearty stated his mount dived away from the whip but he corrected him immediately with his reins. Under further questioning, Nicola Burns conceded that the interference had affected her in that it cost her third place. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind Nicola Burns of her obligation under rule 213 (to report in the first instance anything that may have affected the running of her horse). Furthermore, they advised her to give full and accurate evidence at enquiries in future.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Neolithic, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Chris Armstrong, Authorised Representative for A.P. O'Brien reported that the application of first time cheekpieces may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning into the home straight involving Flanker Jet (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed sixth, and Genchev (GB), ridden by J. Kearney, placed third, where it appeared Genchev received a slight bump. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

184G Gener8 Engineering H'cap

J. Kearney, rider of Blackjack Hills, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and hung right.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Miss Americana (GB), trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Alyse Jane Clarke, rider of Churchill Gale, concerning her use of the whip in the home straight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that her filly can be lazy on the track and was hoping she would latch on to the group before the furlong pole. She further added she put down the whip from one furlong out. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards gave Alyse Jane Clarke the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.

Following a report from the IHRB Veterinary Officer , the Raceday Stewards wished to interview R.C. Colgan concerning his use of the whip in this race. However, as R.C. Colgan was unavailable at the relevant time, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.
