064C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last involving Rock On Seamie, ridden by T.N. Brett, placed third, and Crimson Chief, ridden by D.G. Whelan, placed fourth, where it appeared interferance occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. T.N. Brett stated that his horse drifted but felt he corrected him as quick as he could. D.G. Whelan stated that he received a bump and felt he may have finished third with a clear run. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Rock On Seamie had caused interference to Crimson Chief, he did not improve his finishing position as a result so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that T.N. Brett, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

064D BetVictor Hugh McMahon Novice S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Egality Mans (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Stewards interviewed Mr H.D. Dunne, rider of Blizzard Of Oz, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. H.D. Dunne was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
