Townend, placed third, Jo's Secret, ridden by Mr. J. W. Hendrick, placed fifth, and Moon Eclipse, ridden by Mr. P. J. Cody, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. D. O'Connor stated that he maintained his line and was unaware of any interference. Miss J. Townend stated that her mount was intimidated by the horse on her outside and moved in slightly. Mr. J. W. Hendrick stated that his race was run when he received slight interference from his outside. Mr. P. J. Cody stated that he maintained his line and caused no interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Hello Jean had caused interference to Jo's Secret she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
