The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Make It Hurrah (late withdrawal) - €200

233A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Nursery

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Vocal Music, ridden by K.J. Manning, and Ballot Box (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that C.T.Keane was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.

233B John J. Galvin & Son Limited Rated Race

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Ontheiflist trained by H. Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

233C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

P.J. Smullen, rider of Alaykha trained by D.K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had to check in the straight.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Decision Time, ridden by E.J. McNamara, and trained by John E. Kiely. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and also from the trainer's representative, Tommy Kiely. E.J. McNamara, stated that his instructions were to get his mount travelling in a nice rhythm and to come home well. He added that he was slowly away and got further back than ideal before staying on in the straight, despite being repeatedly denied a clear run.He concluded by saying that a step up in trip would help the horse. Evidence was also heard from Tommy Kiely who confirmed the instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He added that there was a slight concern pre-race that the horse was suffering from colic but having undergone a veterinary check they were happy to run. The Stewards also received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer who stated that Decision Time was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered. Furthermore the rider was cautioned concerning his responsibilities to report anything that may have affected a horse's performance, in accordance with Rule 213.

John E. Kiely, trainer of Decision Time, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have a haematona on an ovary when examined by ultrasound after returning home.

233G Seamus Mulvaney Bookmakers 3-Y-O H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Brutal, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal(samples taken for analysis).
