The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Glenglass, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be very stiff behind post race.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Time Marches On, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, and trained by J.Motherway. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. D.F. O'Regan, stated that his instructions were to jump out fourth or fifth but due the fast early paced he ended up further back. He added that Time Marches On made a few mistakes mid race and this put him further out of touch with the leaders. J.Motherway confirmed the instructions given adding that his charge might benefit from slower underfoot conditions. He also confirmed he was satisfied with the ride given by D.F. O'Regan. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that apart from some light abrasions in its hind legs, Time Marches On was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.

121B Tote Sliabh Luachra H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the approach to the last hurdle involving The Bosses Oscar ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed fourth, and Shewearsitwell ridden by P. Townend, placed first, where it appeared The Bosses Oscar got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.W. Kennedy stated that his run was coming to an end when Shewearsitwell jumped left taking his ground. P. Townend stated that The Bosses Oscar was leaning out on top of his filly and he was trying to keep a straight line as best he could. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Shewearsitwell had caused interference to The Bosses Oscar, she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that P. Townend was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
