S.M. Crosse, rider of Myth Creation (USA) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break from stalls.
The Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Make A Challenge, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of John Gerard Fitzgerald. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.M. Sheridan for 1 raceday.
110D Celtic Steps H'capThe Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Carefully (USA), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted that the riders use of the whip in the forehand once down the shoulder was used for corrective purposes. However, they were of the opinion that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by failing to allow his mount three strides to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.A. Heffernan for 1 raceday.
110E The Irish Examiner H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cautious Approach (GB), trained by Richard John O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be struck into above the right hind hock.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Cautious Approach (GB) trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very badly hampered after one and a half furlongs.
S. Foley, rider of Neyland (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout this race.
The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs after the start involving Cautious Approach (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, Neyland (GB), ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Popsicle, ridden by R. Coakley, unplaced and Alwarda, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced, where it appeared that Cautious Approach (GB) was checked when racing on the inside. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
C.T. Keane, rider of Khabaray, trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he was unseated after the winning post when the offside stirrup leather broke.
110F Betvictor H'capThe Stewards interviewed A.C. Persse, rider of Shakespear'sgalley, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.C. Persse was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended A.C. Persse for 1 raceday.
A.J. Slattery, rider of Sbraase (GB) trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was short of room in the straight.
