J.A. Heffernan, rider of Scriptwriter trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount veered for the gate in the closing stages .

The Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Explorers Way, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount needed to be pushed along in the straight, jinked left and therefore one of his strikes was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action .

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Great Moon trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran off the bend leaving the back straight.

R. Whearty, rider of The Rabbit Catcher trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the strating stalls.

The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Scriptwriter, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount veered left for the gate in the closing stages and therefore his final 2 strikes were for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action.

269C1 Xenon Security H'cap

The Stewards interviewed P.A. Harnett, rider of Evergreen And Red, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. P.A.Harnett stated that his mount travelled nicely throughout,can be a bit lazy and leaned a bit right close home. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that P.A.Harnett was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration,the Stewards caution P.A.Harnett on this occision.

At the request of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Handicapper, the Stewards obtained a report from John C. McConnell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Fennor Cross, placed first, as compared with its recent form. In the absence of an Authorised Representative at this meeting, John C. McConnell reported via telephone, that a step up in distance as well as being dropped 4 lbs in the handicap since his last run helped to bring about an improvement for today's race. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered. The Stewards did, however, in accordance with Rule 147 (v), fine John C. McConnell €130 for failing to lodge the appropriate authorisation form appointing an Authorised Representative at this meeting.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Rustler trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action in the home straight.

S.T.McCullagh rider of Cooper's Hawk trained by Patrick Joseph Hayes, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Ferdowsi (GB) trained by W.M.Roper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the home straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined April Showers, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At The request of the Irish horseracing regulatory board handicapper,the Stewards obtained a report from Michael Mulvany, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Ideal Pal, placed first, as compared with its recent form at Galway on the 7th of September. Mr. Mulvany stated that on his last run in Galway, his charge was drawn very wide and could never get in from there,but stayed on well in the finish,he also added that he appretiated the easier ground conditions today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards interviewed W. Joyce, rider of Ideal Pal, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that W. Joyce was in breach of Regulation 10 (3) (g) excessive frequency, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 3 racedays.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after rounding the home turn involving Loingseoir, ridden by Annalise Cullen, Comedy La Vega (GB), ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, and Mephisto, ridden by Willie Byrne, where it appeared that Loingseoir ran short of room on the rails, checked and switched thereafter. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Annalise Cullen stated that she was at the rear of the field and when she wanted to quicken, two horses crossed to her front and she was forced to move away from the rail. Willie Byrne stated that his mount got a bump, checked but straightened up thereafter. Siobhan Rutledge stated that a horse to her front came backwards causing her to jink right, and she attempted to keep a straight line thereafter. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of Rule 214, in that she had ridden carelessly. Having considered her record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for 4 racedays.

Annalise Cullen, rider of Loingseoir trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount was slowly away and to check in the home straight.

W.T.Byrne, rider of Mephisto trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the home straight. .

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Shona Mea trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

R. Whearty, rider of Bring Us Paradise (GB) trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

Sam Ewing, rider of Royal Eagle trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran into trouble in the home straight.

The Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after rounding the home turn involving Snap Chap, ridden by K.J. Manning, Royal Eagle, ridden by Sam Ewing and Summit Star, ridden by R.C. Colgan, where it appeared that there may have been contact between the three horses. Having viewed the recording of the incident the stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Summit Star trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Right Turn, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D. P. McDonogh, rider of Mulgrave trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen and was hampered a furlong out.
