The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. J. O'Keeffe replaced M.J. Bolger on Hostage To Fortune, trained by Barry Connell (Race 6)(Injured)

280A Claddagh M'dn H'dle

D.J. McInerney, rider of Cantgetenough trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

280B Bet 10 Get 20 With MansionBet Hcap H'dle

C.A. Landers, rider of Rip Rocks Paddy Ok trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was kicked at the start and did not move great.

T. Ryan, rider of Red Lemonade trained by W.J.Austin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made several jumping errors.

At the request of the Stewards, C.P. McNamara, rider of Wavelength (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got a bad start and was much further back in the field that he had hoped and then stayed on tamely.

280C Faber Audiovisuals Novice H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing of this race involving Arthurian Fame, ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed first, Railway Hurricane, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed third and Behind The Curtain, ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found J. J. Slevin in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden improperly. Having considered J. J. Slevin's record in this regard the Stewards suspended J. J. Slevin for three racedays.

280D Ryans Cleaning, Disinfecting S'chase

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Discorama (FR), ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed second and Milan Native, ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed first, where it appeared that interference may may occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.

280E MansionBet Watch And Bet Beginners S'ch

Mr L.P. Gilligan, rider of Born By The Sea trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly in the early stages and then stayed on passed tired horses.

280F Guinness H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pilbara (GB), trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Benefit Run trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

B. Hayes, rider of Pilbara (GB) trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made several jumping errors.

The Stewards interviewed C.J. Orr, rider of Bridge Native, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C. J. Orr in breach of regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency. Having considered C. J. Orr's record in this regard the Stewards suspended C. J. Orr for six racedays and ordered him to attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.

280G Galway INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Skol (GB), trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

280H The Galway H'cap H'dle

R.P. Treacy, rider of Peace Party trained by Desmond McDonogh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly and got very tired.
