The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.J. O'Hanlon replaced Jack Gilligan (injured) on Galway Johnny,trained by Paul John Gilligan (Race 1).

294A BetVictor M'dn H'dle

B.J. Cooper, rider of Explosive Boy (FR) trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room on the bend after the second hurdle. The Stewards subsequently reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Salseros (FR), trained by Barry Connell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

294B Ryans Cleaning, Disinfecting H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident running down the hill involving Son Of Hypnos, ridden by J.C. Gainford, placed fifth and Tenth Amendment, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, unplaced, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C,D. Maxwell stated that he felt pressure on his inside but felt he kept his racing line throughout. J.C. Gainford stated that his mount was running keen down the hill and filled a gap on the inner, but having viewed the incident he accepted that he had caused interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.C. Gainford was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record they suspended him for 1 raceday.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Balkito (FR), trained by Barry Connell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

294D BetVictor S'chase

The Stewards interviewed M.P. O'Connor, rider of Eleazar Des Neiges (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied M.P. O'Connor was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

294F Guinness H'cap S'chase

D.J. McInerney, rider of The Big Galloper trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly throughout.
