204B Latin Quarter Beginners S'chase
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Holy One, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards interviewed P.E. Corbett, rider of Charlie Stout, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that P.E. Corbett was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended P.E. Corbett for 2 racedays. Justice Raymond Groarke absented himself from this enquiry and Mr. P.J.A. O'Connor acted as Chairman.
Gearoid O'Loughlin, trainer of One In All In, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge scoped badly post race.
204E COLM QUINN BMW Mile H'capS. Foley, rider of Onlyhuman trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hit the gates of the starting stalls before they opened.
204F Caulfield Industrial H'capL.F. Roche, rider of Quinns Red Rose trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost her action coming down the hill.
204G Caulfieldindustrial.com H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sky Moon, trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Tintoretto, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed sixth, Make A Challenge, ridden by James J. Doyle, placed first and War Hero, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed fourth, where it appeared that Make A Challenge drifted right when the whip was applied and may have caused interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no action.
