The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

D. K. Weld, trainer of Feather Step (Off-Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. F. Carroll rode Plane Tree Fairy (reserve) , trained by G.M.Lyons (Race 2)
G. M. Ryan rode Misty Mountain (USA) (reserve) , trained by J.J.Lambe (Race 7)
Karen Kenny rode High Glory (FR), trained by J.F. Levins (Race 8) (Stewards permission).

149A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident after leaving the stalls involving Life And Strife, ridden by C. O'Donoghue,and Kocasandra, ridden by C.P. Hoban, where it appeared that Life and Strife ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that C. P. Hoban was in breach of rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard, suspended him for one race day.

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Life And Strife trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered in running.

At the request of the Stewards, D. O'Brien, rider of Ohio State (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran disappointingly.

149B Play The Tote Superfecta Every Race M'dn

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Olaf's Boy, trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Stewards fined Luke W. Comer, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Broadway Queen, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Broadway Queen in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

149C Play The Tote Jackpot For 10 Cent H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from John M. Oxx, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of She's My Dream, placed first, as compared with its last run. John M. Oxx reported that his charge did not stay over a mile on her last run, which was her first run over that distance. He added that he brought her back in distance this evening and changed tactics, running her from the front. In his opinion this explained the improvement in form from her last run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

149E Sign Up For A Tote Account H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bay Of Skaill (GB), trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R. Coakley, rider of Nothing To Lose trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned right for the last furlong.

L.F. Roche, rider of Silk Cravat (GB) trained by John Geoghegan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference leaving the stalls.

149F Bet With Tote At Fairyhouse H'cap

Adrian O'Shea, rider of Contrapposto trained by Mrs.A.M.O'Shea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bump turning into the home straight causing him to run wide.

149G(i) La Bucca Restaurants H'cap (Division One)

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Giorni Felice trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran freely early on.

149G(ii) La Bucca Restaurants H'cap (Division Two)

The Stewards wished to enquire into a breach of Regulation 10.3(g) by J. M. Sheridan having viewed a recording of this race. J. M. Sheridan, accompanied by D. G. Hogan, trainer, accepted that he had three previous offences under Regulation 10 since the new whip rules came into effect. Having considered the rider's acceptance of his disciplinary record in relation to Regulation 10, the Stewards in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 10.6 referred the matter to the Referrals Committee for consideration.

Following a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Medical Officer, Dr. A. Lehane, to the effect that D. Sheehy, rider of De Mazzaro placed sixth, was injured and unable to weigh in following this race, the Stewards allowed the placings to stand in accordance with Rule 230 (i).
