The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

J.A. Nash, trainer of Rockafilly (FR) (Transport Difficulties) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.M. Crosse rode Finvarra (reserve) , trained by Niall Madden (Race 3)
D.E. Sheehy rode Kanthaka (JPN) (reserve) , trained by W.P.Browne (Race 8)

321C1 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'cap

The Stewards interviewed T.P. Madden, rider of Jackmel, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3.(f) for using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his previous record into account suspended him for four race days.

321C2 Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final 100 yards involving Anfaass, ridden by M. Dos Santos, placed first, Three Majors, ridden by D.A. McCormack, placed second and La Novia, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed third, where it appeared Anfaass rolled onto La Novia who in turn rolled onto Three Majors. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. The Stewards did however find M. Dos Santos in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his previous clean record into account suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards interviewed M. Dos Santos, rider of Anfaass, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3.(f)(frequency),(g)(above shoulder height) and 10.4.(time to respond) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 14 race days and ordered that he attend RACE for one day's tuition in the correct use of the whip.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Pirate's Treasure (GB) trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right in the home straight.

The Stewards informed Shane Nolan, trainer that Footsteps At Dawn, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards requested a report from T.J. O'Mara, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Anfaass, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse was having its first run on this surface today which was very different to the going on his most recent runs. The horse was also tried in first time tongue strap this evening. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

321D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) Mdn

The Stewards informed Henry de Bromhead, trainer that Cold War (USA), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

T.P. Madden, rider of Military Star (USA) trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

321G Crowne Plaza Race & Stay H'cap

O.J. Orr, rider of Spanish Soprano, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped.
