280B Brexit Auctions Claiming M'dn

The Stewards interviewed Paul W. Flynn, trainer, concerning his failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Arayacan. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had requested a number of riders to ride his charge but they all had refused possibly as a result of her actions at Navan last Saturday where she dislodged her rider before entering the starting stalls. Having loaded into stalls the filly became fractious and parted company with her rider and raced away riderless. He added that he had contacted J.S. Bolger, Master of Apprentice Jockey D.P. Davis seeking his permission to allow the Apprentice to ride his charge. Following that consultation J.S. Bolger confirmed the availability of the rider. Paul W. Flynn showed video evidence of his charge while she was tried from starting stalls at home and furthermore offered to be in attendance at the start should the Stewards allow the request. Having considered the evidence and video footage supplied by Paul W. Flynn, the Stewards accepted that every effort had been made to secure a rider and therefore allowed the request for D.P. Davis. Furthermore they instructed Paul W. Flynn to be in attendance at the start.
