The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined King Of Cashel, trained by J.A.Stack, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed Mr M. Chaybyn, rider of Three Comets (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr M. Chaybyn accepted that he had used his whip when out of contention and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr M. Chaybyn was in breach of R10(3)(b) by using his whip unnecessarily after his mounts chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr M. Chaybyn on this occasion.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Newgirlintown trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference turning into the straight.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Itsalonglongroad (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount took a keen hold during this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Newgirlintown, ridden by R.P. Cleary and Itsalonglongroad (GB), ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, where it appeared that Newgirlintown checked off heels when Itsalonglongroad came off a straight line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Cleary stated that he had a difficult ride in a steady run race and he was on the outer in the straight when Itsalonglongroad drifted into his path causing him to check when close to heels. Siobhan Rutledge stated that her mount had raced keen and jinked to the right when the whip was applied after entering the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Siobhan Rutledge to be in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly. Having considered her record in this regard the Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for three racedays. .

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Magnetic North, ridden by Adam Caffrey and Made For Minds, ridden by A.J. Slattery, where it appeared that Made For Minds came slightly across Magnetic North. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Adam Caffrey stated that his mount had run its race and it made no difference to him. A.J. Slattery stated that his mount went slightly right after using his whip in his left hand and he had corrected him straight away. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action other than to advise A.J. Slattery to ride with more awareness in the future.

J.M. Moore, rider of Nelly Murphy trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount broke slowly from the starting stalls.

S.M. Crosse, rider of The Grey Wizard trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked right when passing the horse gate in the straight.

The Stewards interviewed Adam Caffrey, rider of Sovereignty, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Adam Caffrey accepted that he had used his whip when out of contention and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Adam Caffrey was in breach of R10(3)(b) by using his whip unnecessarily after his mounts chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having taken his record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Adam Caffrey for one raceday.

S.P. Davis, rider of Breaking Story trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen during this race.

J. Kearney, rider of Adapt To Dan trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount acted up in the starting stalls.

The Stewards interviewed W.J. Lee, rider of Morning Soldier, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, W.J. Lee stated that he got into a battle in the straight and had mistakenly exceeded the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that W.J. Lee was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned W.J. Lee on this occasion.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Halpin, rider of Sister Bridget, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, G.P. Halpin stated that he had mistakenly exceeded the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.P. Halpin was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned G.P. Halpin on this occasion.
