338C(ii) Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn (Division Two)The Stewards enquired into an incident in the early stages of this race involving Ellaat (GB), ridden by K.J. Leonard, Tigray (USA), ridden by A.C. Persse and All About Maddy (GB), ridden by K.J. Manning, where it appeared that Tigray ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action but did, however, remind K.J. Leonard and A.C. Persse of their responsibilities under Rule 213 to report anything which might have affected the running of their horse in a race.
338F Irishinjuredjockeys.com H'capThe Stewards advised David Kenneth Budds, trainer, that a repeat performance of the behaviour of his charge Here for the Craic, who refused to race from stalls, could render his charge liable to a future suspension.
338G Dundalk Stadium Light Up Your Night HcapThe Stewards fined Richard Brabazon, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Path Of Silver, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Path Of Silver in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer, in relation to his failure to nominate a rider for his charge Konig Hill at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he had difficulty in finding a suitable rider until the withdrawal of Ten Bears from this race. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered and reminded Anthony McCann of his responsibilities in this regard. The Stewards allowed the late nomination of A.J. Farragher to ride Konig Hill.
The Stewards interviewed D.M. Simmonson, rider of Effernock Fizz, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.M. Simmonson was in breach of Regulation 10 (3)(b) in that he used his whip unnecessarily when his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned D.M. Simmonson.
