The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the finish involving Collective Power, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed second, and King's View, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed fourth, where it appeared that King's View checked when Collective Power drifted onto his racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, L.T. McAteer stated that his own mount was tiring when Collective Power drifted across onto his racing line and he took a precautionary check. S.T. McCullagh stated that his own mount began to shy away from Samrogue on his outer and that he had changed his whip hand as quickly as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that S.T. McCullagh, rider, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

L.T. McAteer, rider of King's View trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room just at the winning post.

D. McMonagle, rider of Scarlet Seymour trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount acted up in the starting stalls and hung right during the race.

The Stewards requested a report from Lee Smyth, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Spirituoso (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Lee Smyth stated that he was surprised with the victory of his charge and felt that the break of two months since its last run and the fact that his horses have been running very well of late may have contributed to this unexpected improved run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Singsong Lady, placed first, as compared with its recent run here on the 4th March 2022. Gavin Cromwell stated that he was at a loss to explain the poor run previously as his charge was expected to win. He added that the IHRB Veterinary Officer on the night could not find any post race abnormality. He could only compare the difference in running of both the previous day and today and noted that his charge raced close to the rail the previous day whereas she raced wider this evening. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Singsong Lady, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, Hey Kameir, ridden by C.T. Keane and Dubirango ridden by S.D. Bowen where it appeared that interfernce took place when Singsong Lady challenged between horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence S.D. Bowen stated that his mount drifted slightly and he straightened him. C.D. Maxwell stated that he got his mounts head in between the other two horses but Hey Kameir (C.T. Keane) drifted inwards before being corrected. C.T. Keane stated that his mount had raced with a high head carriage and on letting her down to race in the straight, he used the whip behind the saddle. She went left into the path of Singsong Lady for the second hit before he quickly corrected her. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action. Ms Elaine O'Farrell accompanied S.D. Bowen at this enquiry.

In her evidence, Amy Jo Hayes admitted the offence and stated that she lost count of her use of the whip when she had a chance of riding her first winner. She apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Amy Jo Hayes was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Amy Jo Hayes for four racedays and referred her to R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.

In his evidence, C.J. MacRedmond stated that he had committed for a gap, got his mounts head into the gap but it narrowed and he had to take a check. W.M. Lordan stated that his mount was hanging badly to the right and he eventually had to stop riding. J.M. Sheridan stated that No Speed Limit (Fr)(W.M. Lordan) was hanging towards his own mount but despite this he had maintained a straight course. L.F. Roche stated that his mount had veered inwards when reacting to the whip and he straightened his mount when putting his whip down.
