The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Ma France, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.A. Heffernan stated that his mount was off the bridle early and he committed to going for his race down the inner. He added that his mount began to hang right and he used the whip in excess of the guidelines as a corrective measure to try to get the filly to change leads and to avoid causing possible interference. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving Beescatty, ridden by C.T. Keane and Holy Divine, ridden by K.J. Leonard, where it appeared that Beescatty checked when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that his mount was wearing headgear for the first time and had rushed to the bend and over exaggerated the inward manoeuvre of Holy Devine causing him to check. K.J. Leonard stated that his mount had rushed to the first bend, was lugging out and he took the opportunity to move inside Obliviate not realising that Beescatty was as close. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that K.J. Leonard was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned K.J. Leonard on this occasion.

J. Coen, rider of Obliviate trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly in the straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Wychwood Whisper, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, Maestro Stick (GB), ridden by K.J. Leonard, Knock Flyer, ridden by S.P. Bird and Transition (GB), ridden by M.A. Enright where it appeared the runners tightened and interference was caused. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, M.A. Enright stated that he got interference from both sides and had to snatch up his mount. K.J. Leonard stated that his mount arrived to challenge between horses but everything got congested and he was taken off a straight line. S.P. Bird stated that he was racing closest to the running rail when receiving pressure from his outside which forced his mount onto the rail. N.G. McCullagh stated that an opening appeared on his inner which he took and in doing so he was aware that he had M.A. Enright and S.P. Bird on his inner and no sight of K.J. Leonard whom he showed on the video to be behind his own mount at the time of that manoeuvre. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while there was limited interference, they were unable to apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

M.A. Enright, rider of Transition (GB) trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference in the straight.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Maestro Stick (GB) trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran up onto heels about one and a half furlongs from the finish.

The Stewards informed C. Moore, trainer that Coviglia, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards requested a report from Noel G. Hynds, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Court Of Appeal, placed second, as compared with its recent form. Noel G. Hynds reported that his charge was given a break since its previous run here on the 10th November 2021. Since the animals return he had changed the training routine to also include a change in hay and feed. In his opinion the break and the changes had the desired effect. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
