The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Miss J.M. Cooke replaced Mr D.T. McGrath on Mountain Philip, trained by Diarmuid P. Ryan (Race 3)(Injured)
S. Kelly replaced C.D. Timmons on Maureen's Star, trained by Liam Lennon (Race 6)(transport difficulties )
Miss K. O' Farrell replaced Mr A.J. Fox on Lily's Gem, trained by S.R.B. Crawford (Race 7)(unwell)

346A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'ch

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Burgas (FR), ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second and Sutton Manor, ridden by Mr J.J. Codd, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

346B Adam & Ann Armstrong Mem. H'cap S'chase

D.J. McInerney, rider of Dorkas (GB) trained by J.R.Finn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards received a report from Miss Colleen Murphy , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S.J. Crimin , rider of Alices Man , weighed in at 1.8 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.J. Crimin was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his previous record in this regard, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dorkas (GB), trained by J.R.Finn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Honest Robber, trained by Mervyn Torrens, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

346E Silks M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D. Robinson, rider of Judgement Day, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including veterinary evidence, the Stewards found D. Robinson to be in breach of Regulations 10.3 (e) in that he used his whip on an area other than down the shoulders or on the hind quarters, 10.3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive force and frequency and 10.4 in that he used his whip without giving his mount time to respond. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended D. Robinson for 5 racedays.

346F Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined C.D. Timmons, nominated rider of Maureen's Star, €200 for failing to present himself to be weighed out as required under Rule 196 (v).

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Cubomania, ridden by E.M. Roche, placed first, Pound A Stroke, ridden by K.J. Brouder, placed second and Graineyhill, ridden by M. Browne, placed third, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's places. The Stewards advised E.M. Roche to ride with more care in the future.

A.W. Short, rider of Global Fert, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got very tired on today's ground after a very recent run in Uttoxeter.
