The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

C.A.McBratney, trainer of Benefit North (off-feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. C. M. Healy rode Eric Carmen (reserve), trained by Eoin Doyle (Race 5).
Mr. R. W. Baron replaced Mr E.P. O'Brien on Gliondar Mo Chroi, trained by Aidan F. Fogarty (Race 5)(Stewards permission).

316A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Gold Creek, ridden by M.M. McDonagh, and trained by Aengus King. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. M.M. McDonagh, stated that his instructions were to jump off mid division and to do his best from there. He added that his mount did not come down the hill well the final time but run on well when she met the rising ground. Aengus King, confirmed the instructions given and added that his charge is quite one paced. He stated that she can be very marish and he had instructed the rider to avoid using the whip as she does not go for it. Furthermore, he stated that she was having her third run in quick succession as she does not do a lot at home. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Gold Creek was slightly lame left fore post race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.

D.F. O'Regan, rider of Elizabeth J trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up injured.

316B Cashel M'dn H'dle

J.J. Slevin, rider of Watch Guard trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third hurdle.

316E Powerstown Demesne (QR) H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the fall of All For Nothing, ridden by Miss R. McIntyre, turning into the home straight. Evidence was heard from Miss R. McIntyre who stated that her mount slipped up and fell independently of any other horse. Having considered the evidence and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards noted the explanation given.

Mr J.C. Barry, rider of The Gabby Cabby trained by William Durkan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up injured.
