The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.F. O'Regan replaced K.M. Donoghue on Elusive Rebeldom, trained by Mrs Denise Foster (Race 3)(injured)
P.K. Donovan rode Cable (GB) (reserve), trained by Patrick G. Kelly (Race 6).
J.B. Foley rode Some Venture (reserve), trained by Thomas Mullins (Race 6).

225A J.J.Burke Car Sales 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle

G.P. Brouder, rider of Luz Long trained by J.G. Coogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running and subsequently pulled up.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Rich Law No Law trained by M. Keane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped green.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, that J.J. Slevin, rider of Eternal Presence and G.P. Brouder, rider of Luz Long failed to obey his instructions. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. J.J. Slevin stated that he was aware of the new starting procedures but felt that he made every effort to restrain his horse once he broke into a canter. G.P. Brouder stated that his horse was an anxious 3yo and also added that he was aware of the new starting procedures. Having considered the report from Mr. J.R. Banahan and the recording of the start, the Stewards were satisfied that both J.J. Slevin and G.P. Brouder were in breach of Rule 208 and taking their records into account, they suspended both riders for 1 raceday.

225B Broderick's Electrical M'dn H'dle

T. Ryan, rider of Caroles Secret trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up injured.

225C Flannery's Bistro H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Lady De Vesci, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record, they suspended him for 8 racedays.

225D RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction M'dn H'dle

B.J. Cooper, rider of Cute Cherry (GB) trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action.

The Stewards interviewed D.F. O'Regan, rider of Cream Sparkles, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had breached the Regulation and expressed his disappointment at being in breach. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, which included photographic evidence from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, the Stewards were satisfied that D.F. O'Regan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(i)(time to respond) and Regulation 10.3(f)(force) and considering his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.

225E(i) C.J. Sheeran Ltd H'cap H'dle (Division One)

The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Power Roche, rider of Nice To Meet, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had breached the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. T. Power Roche was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

225E(ii) C.J. Sheeran Ltd H'cap H'dle (Division Two)

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend past the stands involving Arizona Flyer, ridden by T. Joseph Kelly, placed sixth and Dylan Oak, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, unplaced, where it appeared Arizona Flyer ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. T. Joseph Kelly stated that he went for a gap but it closed before he could take it. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he felt Arizona Flyer on his inner but he had to keep his line as their was horses on his outer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise T. Joseph Kelly to ride with more awareness in future.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Dylan Oak trained by Denis W. Cullen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

P.K. Donovan, rider of Cable (GB) trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and pulled up. Subsequently Cable was examined by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who confirmed the animal was found to have blood at both nostrils.

225F Burleigh Accountancy H'cap H'dle

D.G. Hogan, rider of Royal Aide trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Waitnsee, trained by John Patrick Ryan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
