The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.J. Tynan, trainer of Majestic Mel (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Ms. J. Townend rode Sky Sprinter (reserve) trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 7)
R. Deegan replaced J.S. McGarvey on Added Bonus, trained by John J. Walsh (Race 5)(stood down)

075A Bowers Bar & Restaurant (M) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bubbles In May, trained by J.P. Cahill, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Hollymount, ridden by J.C. Gainford and Spick And Span, ridden by S.D. Torrens, where it appeared Hollymount went slightly left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

B. Hayes, rider of Bubbles In May trained by J.P. Cahill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

J.B. Foley, rider of Carrig Carol trained by Peter Croke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got outpaced early on.

J.C. Canavan, rider of Doyenotheline trained by L.J.Archdeacon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got outpaced early on.

075B Tim Kelly (C&G) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Figurehead, trained by Gearoid Patrick Brouder, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.

075C McGrath Limestone Works H'cap H'dle

D.G. Hogan, rider of Zoffanien trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and hung badly.

R. Deegan, rider of Mattie's Mountain trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that the horse that unseated its rider, hampered his mount pulling the bridle from his head causing him to pull up.

075D BoyleSports (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed S. O'Callaghan, rider of Seangoell, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S. O'Callaghan was in beach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 3 racedays.

075E Michael Cawe Suspended Ceilings Hcp Hdle

The Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the second last hurdle involving Glenabo Bridge, ridden by R.J. Condon and Johanna Yeats, ridden by A. McCurtin, where it appeared that Glenbo Bridge had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.J. Condon stated that his mount missed the second last and lost his position as a result of this. He said he got tight for room, but felt the incident was mainly due to his mount not being able to hold its position. A. McCurtin stated that his mount was travelling well and felt he had left enough room on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action on this occasion other than to advise A. McCurtin to ride with more awareness in future.

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.J. O'Neill, rider of Tullyhogue Fort, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. P.J. O'Neill was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed Mr M. McConville, rider of Flashthelights, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. M. McConville was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

075G Connacht Tribune INH Flat Race

Mr N. McParlan, rider of A Million Bucks trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left leaving the back straight.

Mr H.C. Swan, rider of Kiki Badger trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled independently and fell for no apparent reason. The Stewards reviewed the incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
