The Appeals Body, Division One, Mr Eoghan Fitzsimons (in the Chair), Mr C.E. O’Sullivan and Mrs. T.K. Cooper met in the Stewards Room, Curragh Racecourse, Curragh, Co Kildare, on 10th September 2008 to consider an appeal from W.M. Lordan, Rider, against the decision of the Acting Stewards at Tipperary on 28th August 2008 when following the running of the www.tipperaryraces.ie Handicap, he was suspended for three racedays for careless riding.

Evidence was heard from W.M. Lordan.  Videos of the race were also reviewed.

The case was presented to the Committee by Mr Denis Egan, Chief Executive, Irish Turf Club.  W.M. Lordan was represented by Mr Andrew R. Coonan, Coonan Cawley Solicitors, Naas, Co. Kildare.
