George Young / Mrs. B. Houston  -  “Supalot” Appeal
Mid Antrim Point to Point, Saturday, 14th October, 2006.

The Appeals Body, Division Two, Mr. J.R. Craigie (in the Chair), Mrs. T.K. Cooper and Mr. Edward Flannery, met at the Stand House Hotel, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, on Tuesday, 12th December, 2006, to consider an appeal lodged by Mr. G. Young on behalf of Mrs. B. Houston, owner of “Supalot” which, having been first past the post at the Mid Antrim Point to Point meeting on Saturday, 14th October, was disqualified and placed second for alleged interference.  Evidence was heard from Mr. D. O’Connor, rider of “Stormy Tribunal”, Mr. J.J. Smyth, rider of “Supalot”, Mr. Young, M.F. O’Donoghue, Steward Secretary, and a film of the race was also viewed.

Having considered the evidence, the Appeals Body decided to allow the Appeal.

The result now reads:-
First:-   Supalot
Second:-  Stormy Tribunal
Third:-  Super Fellow
Fourth:-  Sonny Liston

Mrs. Houston was represented by Mr. Andrew Coonan, Coonan Cawley Solicitors, Naas, Co. Kildare, and the case was presented to the Committee by Mr. Brian Price, Wilkinson and Price Solicitors, Naas, Co. Kildare.
