The Referrals Committee Sean Barry (in the chair), Philip Caffrey and N.B. Wachman met on Wednesday 19th August 2015 at the Turf Club, The Curragh, Co. Kildare to consider the referral of Eoin Doyle Trainer, by Denis Egan, Chief Executive of the Turf Club  following the running of the www.Tramore-Racecourse.com Handicap Hurdle at Tramore on 30th May 2015. The matter was referred as Indian Fairy, trained by Eoin Doyle which ran in the above race was ineligible to run as the horse had been restricted from running for two days by the Stewards at Down Royal on 29th May 2015.

Evidence was heard from Eoin Doyle.

In his evidence Eoin Doyle said that the horse had been declared in error to run at Down Royal on 29th May 2015.  He said he was not aware that the horse was suspended as a result of not running at Down Royal and was unaware of the provisions of Rule 194(v).  He apologised to the Committee for what occurred.

Having considered the evidence the Referrals Committee found that Eoin Doyle was in breach of Rule 194(x) and fined him €500.

They also considered an objection from Denis Egan to the placing gained by Indian Fairy in the www.Tramore-Racecourse.com Handicap Hurdle on the basis that the horse was not qualified to run in the race in accordance with the provisions of Rule 87(vi).

Having considered the evidence the Committee upheld the objection and ordered that Indian Fairy be disqualified from fourth place in the www.Tramore-Racecourse.com Handicap Hurdle at Tramore on 30th May 2015.  The result now reads:
