The Stewards requested a report from J. Morrison, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Arch Melody, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Darren Pratt, authorised representative for the trainer, reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run when racing too prominently. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
