The Stewards enquired into possible interference from the last hurdle involving Flaviana, ridden by R.M. Power, placed first and Coolfighter (GER), ridden by D.E. Splaine, placed second, where it appeared Coolfighter received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Flaviana had improved its finishing position in relation to Coolfighter due to intererence and therefore reversed the placings of the first two horses.

The amended result now reads;
1st Coolfighter (GER)
2nd Flaviana
3rd Fighting Days
4th Grand Partner
5th To Choose
6th King's Wharf.
