The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.J. Ferris rode Rock N'Stones (reserve) , trained by Kieran Purcell (Race 6)

133B Sponsor At Tramore (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Mr. W. Flemming, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr. N.J. Redmond , rider of Definite Lily, weighed in at 1.7 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 (iii) and suspended him for one raceday.

133C Tramore Golf Club H'cap H'dle

Owing to the low elevation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for the fourth hurdle to be omitted in this race.

P.T. Enright, rider of Trade Marked, trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen early on but tired in the closing stages.

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, Mr. D. Cullen, that L.P. Dempsey, rider of Teacher's Pet, I.J. McCarthy, rider of Maca Cailin and C. Brassil, rider of Take A Chance, had all disobeyed his instructions which resulted in a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that all three riders were in breach of Rule 208 and having considered their respective records, the stewards suspended L.P. Dempsey for two racedays, I.J. McCarthy for one raceday and C. Brassil for one raceday.

D.N. Russell, rider of Walkers Point trained by David M.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the track and made mistakes.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Walkers Point, trained by David M.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B. Hayes, rider of Most Honourable (GB) trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Most Honourable (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal, other than to have lost a shoe in running.

133E Tramore Racecourse Supp.Club Beg.S'chase

D.E. Mullins, rider of King's Wharf, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left and was pulled up thereafter.

133F August Racing Festival 11th-14th Hcp Sch

The Stewards interviewed Aengus King, trainer of Capture The Drama, regarding the failure of his charge to appear in to the Parade Ring prior to racing as required. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who explained the circumstances surrounding this failure and apologised for the inconvenience caused. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was breach of Rule 32 (ii) and fined him €200.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Camillas Wish, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
