218B Tramore Racecourse Rated Novice H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the final hurdle involving Meldrum Lad, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second and War Of The Pennys, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that interference had occurred and that the winner had improved his finishing position as a result of this interference and therefore altered the judges placings to read :
First- Meldrum Lad
Second- War Of The Pennys
The Stewards took no further action.

218C Have Your Wedding At Strand Inn Hcap Hdl

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend entering the back straight involving It's All An Act, ridden by B. Hayes, placed third, Salacious Sally, ridden by A.P. Thornton, unplaced and Sweet Sylvia, ridden by K.C. Sexton, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that A.P.Thornton was in breach of Rule 214,having ridden carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for five race days.

D.N. Russell, rider of Gatesoffrance trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung off the track and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Gatesoffrance, trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Aroy, at the request of trainer, D.J. Bunyan, and reported the animal lame post race.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the final hurdle involving Beckwith Star, ridden by B. Hayes, placed second and Ram Them All, ridden by S.A. Shortall, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings, however they were of the opinion that Brian Hayes was in breach of Rule 214, having ridden carelessly and having considered his excellent record, severely cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Line View, trained by James Daniel Dullea, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

Mrs Maureen Danagher, trainer of The Colleen Ban, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge burst blood vessells in running.

218G Unusual Suspects Play Live INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr M. Fahey, rider of Rathmuck Native, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.4 , in that he used the whip without giving his mount time to respond and having considered his record, severely cautioned him regarding his responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference coming down the hill and turning into the straight involving Prickly, ridden by Mr K.E. Power, placed first and Rathmuck Native, ridden by Mr M. Fahey, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings, however they were of the opinion that Mr. Power was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days. Mr. Neill McGrath absented himself from this enquiry.
