The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

David Harry Kelly, trainer of Anna Holty (Off Feed) - €200
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Isabella Liberty (FR) (Off Feed) - €200
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Urtheoneiwant (Off Feed) - €200
J.R. Barry, trainer of Naughty Molly (Off Feed) - €200
Robert Murphy, trainer of Silverpockets (Change in Going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A.E. Lynch replaced P.T. Enright on Tintown Robin, trained by Vincent Laurence Halley (Race 2)(Injury)
C.M. Walsh replaced P.T. Enright on Buckeye Shan, trained by Vincent Laurence Halley (Race 1)(Injury)
J.J. Burke replaced P.T. Enright on Omega Springs, trained by Liam Casey (Race 4)(Injury)
D.E. Mullins replaced J.M. Moore on Swantykay, trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden (Race 6)(Injury)

223A Comeragh Veterinary M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed M.P. Fogarty, rider of Timmone, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found M.P. Fogarty in breach of Reg 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and having taken his record into account suspended the rider for 1 race day.

223B Frank Gillane Memorial M'dn H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Patrick Griffin, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Intifadah, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer's representative, James Griffin, stated that this horse was tried in cheek pieces for the first time today and in an ordinary contest it probably accounted for the apparent improvement. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

223C Richard Power Private Client H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the late declaration by Donald Cashman, trainer of War Of The Pennys, of the 6lb penalty due to be carried by the horse for winning a hurdle race on 12th August. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found the trainer in breach of Rules 148 and 194 with regard to the declaration of a penalty and having taken his record into account imposed a fine of €130.

223D Sunday Business Post H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.E. Mullins, rider of Balinaboola, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D.E. Mullins in breach of Reg. 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having taken his record into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding his future whip use.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Milano Express trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and he suffered tack problems thereafter and pulled up.

223E Tramore Amusement Park (Mares) Beg. S'ch

A. McCurtin, rider of Easy Peezy trained by P.C.O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was plunging throughout and losing ground.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Lady Of Portlairge trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved poorly when racing downhill.

P.D. Kennedy, rider of Off The Hoof trained by P. Corkery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he suffered from steering problems in-running.

D.E. Splaine, rider of Rockwood Rosie trained by John O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount broke down at the third last.
