The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.P. Walsh replaced A.P. Heskin on One Fine Morning (GB), trained by Ronald O'Leary (Race 2)(injured)
B. Hayes replaced A.P. Heskin on For Sinead, trained by Michael Winters (Race 6)(injured)
E.P. O'Brien replaced Mr D. Skehan on Knobstone Trail, trained by Timothy Cleary (Race 7)(unwell)
D.J. Mullins replaced P.T. Enright on Feel The Air, trained by Mark Michael McNiff (Race 6)(injured)

221A EY Beginners S'chase

J.M. Moore, rider of Just Likeold Times trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

P.T. Enright, rider of Valentino's Choice trained by Vincent Laurence Halley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sam King, trained by T.M. Walsh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.J. Burke, rider of Invincible Don trained by J. Morrison, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.

221B Tom Murphy (Mercedes-Benz) H'cap S'chase

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Naughty Molly, trained by J.R. Barry, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

221C Midge Nolan Memorial (Mares) M'dn H'dle

D.J. Mullins, rider of Catcheragain trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost a shoe and burst blood vessels in running.

A. McCurtin, rider of Khalessi trained by T.J. Nagle Jr., reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished distressed(confirmed by turf club vet).

221D Chia Bia H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Shutter Island, ridden by M.P. Walsh, Coldstonesober, ridden by K.C. Sexton, Herbiegoesbananas, ridden by C. Brassil, and For Sinead, ridden by B.Hayes. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the video evidence was inconclusive, they gave B.Hayes the benefit of the doubt and took no further action.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Shutter Island trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount clipped heels and was almost brought down.

221E Marthas Bar M'dn H'dle

K.C. Sexton, rider of Golan Diamond trained by J.R.Finn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

The Stewards requested a report from Denis Leahy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Desertmore Dreamer (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disapointed on his last two starts when failing to finish well on both occasions. He added that the horse is a handy type who seemed to relish today's sharp, easier track.Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

221F Flynn Hotel Group (Mares) H'cap H'dle

P.A. Gallagher, rider of Give Her Bach, trained by Patrick Cronin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Give Her Bach, trained by Patrick Cronin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed A.W. Short, rider of Grand Tour (GB), concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), in that he used the whip unnecessarily when his chance had gone and having considered his clean record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.
