The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

J. S. Bolger, trainer of Move To Strike (declared in error) - €200

235A Glenvale Stud M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving St James Gate, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed fifth, Acting Talent (USA), ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed third and Sweetest Taboo, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of St James Gate, trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount may benefit from a step up in trip.

235B Camas Park Stud EBF M'dn

J.P. O'Brien, rider of Hail The Hero, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action and was eased in the closing stages.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Hail The Hero, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Brien, rider, in relation to his riding of Hail The Hero, in the latter stages of this race, where he appeared to ease his mount. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that the horse's stride shortened and he lost his action inside the final furlong, before changing his legs in the closing stages. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action.

235C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery

P.J. Smullen, rider of Initial, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action in the straight and was eased.

235D Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Purr Along (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

235F Meadowview Stables H'cap

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Carenza, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action in the straight and was eased.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Carenza, trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
