The Stewards requested a report from Andrew Slattery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ucanchoose, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Brian Slattery, Authorised representative of Andrew Slattery, trainer, reported that there charge showed a liking for this track and was winning for the fourth time here over five furlongs. He added that the animal has won a total of six races when wearing blinkers on each occasion. In his opinion their charge shows his best with a cut in the ground and has shown his previous best form during the summer months. He concluded by stating that their charge had run a good race the previous time and his handicap rating had dropped by 14 lbs from 70 to 56 since the start of this season. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards informed S.T.Nolan, trainer that Thank You Pa, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

J.F. Egan, rider of Mountmills, trained by Anthony Mulholland, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly throughout.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Wrap Star, trained by John M. Oxx, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount became upset in stalls following a delay to catch a loose horse, missed the break and never travelled during the race.

156G Ladies Day At Tipp 20th July Rated Race

W.M. Lordan, rider of Little Fastnet, trained by David Wachman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount refused to leave the stalls when the gates opened.

The Stewards requested a report from P.J.Prendergast, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Windward Passage, placed first, as compared with its recent form. P.J. Prendergast reported that this animal had been gelded earlier this season. He felt that the application of first time blinkers, the ease in the ground and the prominent riding tactics all contributed to this success. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
