The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.C. Sexton replaced B.J. Cooper on Speed Demon, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 2)(Injured)
G.N. Fox replaced B.J. Cooper on Treacy Hotels Boy, trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 4)(Injured)
D.J. Mullins replaced B.J. Cooper on Bishops Road, trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 6)(Injured)
K.C. Sexton replaced Andrew J.McNamara on Lettermacaward, trained by Michael Winters (Race 5)(Injured)

187C Martinstown Opportunity H'cap H'dle

N.M. Kelly, rider of Old Laxey, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels before turning into the home straight.

The Stewards interviewed M.P. Burke, rider of Kylecrue, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.(3)(e), in that he had used his whip other than down the shoulder or the hind quarters and having considered his record, cautioned him.

187E Kenyon Street Traders Beginners S'chase

The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Pierlow, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on his previous run which was a first over fences and felt that a combination of better jumping, the application of cheek pieces and the experience of his last run, may have brought about todays improved performance. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

187F Tipperary Town Plaza Plate H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed D.J. Mullins, rider of Bishops Road, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.(3)(e), in that he had used his whip other than down the shoulder or the hind quarters and having considered his record, cautioned him.

187G Jim Ryan R'course Services INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss S. O'Brien, rider of Tesseract, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.(3)(e), in that she had used her whip other than down the shoulder or the hind quarters and having considered her record, suspended her for one race day.
